Allen:
I am glad you posted this orchid which is the same variety as the x-ray image I posted recently. The stack is nicely done and getting everything nicely focused. The color is nice in this subdued lighting. Just curious why you choose F4 instead of the sweet spot of the lens of 8-11 as the bg is not obtrusive?

Great shot. Good choice to concentrate on this part of the flower. Great dof for f/4. A minor critique if you will- I think I would have moved a little to the left and made sure the flower was shot dead on straight and centered. As it is, it looks a little off, like you tried to center it, but didn't quite make it.

Into the belly of the beast as it were. I really feel like you could just slip inside this orchid. Beautiful focus .

Thanks for the comments. Gary: you're right about the F-stop and I appreciate the reminder, I need to give all aspects of the shot consideration. Michael: I agree the shot doesn't appear entirely centered, I noticed this as well and went back to look at the flower and all the components aren't centered. I'm not up on the anatomical names of parts, but the back part is rotated a bit with respect to the other elements.

Great job in capturing the subtle colors and the all the details. This is a beautiful flower. I like the less than head on composition. I do see a couple of intermediate areas in the stack that aren't sharp, due to using f/4 and how hard it is to insure focus overlap in macro work at large apertures. Sure hope this beauty is still blooming and you can reshoot.

Allen: I like the POV. A little more room top and bottom would suit me better. >=))>

Nicely done, Allen - very well stacked and processed. Do agree with Michael's comment about the centring, but otherwise this is for me a strong image.
