GS V: River Morning Moon

Gentle Spectacle V: River Morning Moon
No spectacular mountains, canyons, waterfalls or bright fall colors -- the maple leaves were gone, leaving only the rusty-red oaks. Just a river bank at sunrise as the moon sets in late fall. This is part of a series of images I began last fall of images that touch me without making a staggering impact. Not "jaw-droppers," but images that hold my attention if I take the time to look.
I originally shot it as a 50/50 mirror image that included the reflection of the setting moon at sunrise. After looking at it for a long time, I dediced that the composition was stronger with the bottom cropped off, because the moon seemed so small in the uncropped version. (Still lots of pixels since it's a 3-frame pano.)
