Lonesome and Quiet

Another failed attempt at something spectascular from Sparks Lake, Oregon. It's a long way from home and I only get a chance every few years to go there. The weather is very challenging to predict there, at least in my experience. So this was taken on my last day in heavy fog. It was peaceful and good to be there, just me and some water fowl, and the quiet. I just used photoshop to stretch the reflections here, and of course there is a bit of magenta! Thanks for having a look.

Chris I like the larger image best; thanks for including it. The tones are beautiful. Would love to see the actual image you captured.if you can a chance to post it.

No suggestions on this.

Looks like a lovely peaceful morning. Without your description, I wouldn't have known about the stretched reflections. The purple cast adds nicely to the contemplative mood.

Good title for this beautiful, simple image--love the color and feel of this!

I like Dark and moody images.....so the color pallette works for me. Wondering about a bit more black in some areas for pop......but not too much to lose any depth.

Very peaceful and compelling image.
I'm a little uncomfortable with the divisioin of space - I think a bit more on top and less on the bottom would balance things out better. ie the shoreline below the center of the image, instead of above.
Very Nice processing to "save" an image that may have been uninteresting.

Talk about mood!...this is all about that. I know the feelings you had very well. It's beautiful, Chris.
