Grey-capped Woodpecker

Found this great new place for birding here in Korea on a mountain behind one of the universities. I spotted three different kinds of woodpeckers, such as this (what I believe to be) Grey-capped, plus a few other birds that I haven't identified yet. Shot in the morning, hence the slight orange color cast...

Interesting bird and lighting. It has a mysterious feel as presented. Image quality looks good. I might have gone with a vertical composition here.

Very nice detail on the bird -- I agree with a vertical crop as it will have less background and emphasize the bird more

Wish the dark Bg did not merge with the dark wing. Nice detail.

I'm fine with the horizontal orientation but I might crop a little off one side or the other for an off center placement.

I like the light and setting, Mark, and you have good detail in the bird. I too would consider a vertical comp for this.
