I liked the way all of the turtles were facing the same direction as if the log and reflection of it was pointing in the direction they should be looking. This is a large crop from the original Jpeg.

Canon T1i

Sigma 150-500mm lens at 500mm
Spot meter tripod

I like the way the log and its reflection make a V, but wish the turtles were facing towards the photographer.

I like the scene and comp. The turtles appear to be a little soft. Not sure if its the tripod, the lens, the large crop, or most likely, a combination of the three.

The composition works fine for me and I like the rendering of colors. I believe you sacrificed a lot of image quality with the large crop.
