We have not had much winter at all here in Utah either Bob. Mild temps and very little moisture. Luckily last year was a banner year for snow pack or we would be in real serious trouble.

I like the range of colors that you captured here, and the details are great. Nice fall shot.

Bob:
This is colorful and I also like the different shapes! I wonder if a polarizer may help temper the highlight and the vignette looks a little strong.

Are these good to eat?

Very interesting and creative image, Bob! I've always enjoyed seeing the beautiful colors in indian corn but never thought to take a close-up of these kernels. I like the comp you found with the variety of colors.

Gary: I'm going to take the liberty of answering your question since I am acquainted with this kind of corn. It is a decorative variety of field corn that is only used for decoration purposes in the fall. The kernels are hard as is field corn so I guess cows would like eating it but not people!

Bob: I was wondering about a polarizer as well. I like how you filled the frame and the color palette especially. >=))>

Succulent, Bob ! Love how you've faded ( in two senses ) the kernals around the edges; strong colour too.
