Love the layered effects and how they create distance and the colors in the sky are great. I do find the fence distracting. Nice catch!

I like the layers as Mark noted, and the positioning of the peak. Probably would be better without the fence, but with it in should be in M&N I believe.

I like the layers and colors of the image. I agree that it would probably look better without the fence. I might be tempted to crop at the base of the first hill. Just my opinion.

Kenneth,
Welcome to NPN and the Landscape Gallery. Beautiful dawn sky and very nice first post here in Landscape. I like the form created by the hills and the wonderful placement of the bg mountain. The trees lining the ridge are wonderful too.
I'd have to agree with the others about the fence. Fortunately, I guess, that it's somewhat dark on the landscape so it's really not a distraction, but more of a "wish it wasn't there" side thought. I think a silhouetted fence like this could work very well if there were more of the crossing fence posts and you could show some repeating patterns.
But speaking of the fence, I am going to move this to the Man & Nature gallery after posting this comment. I understand the fence in this particular image is not significant to the overall image, but it's clearly part of the frame. Hope you understand. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate at contacting one of the moderators.
Welcome aboard. we look forward to your images and participation.

The fence doesn't bother me. I would have liked to have seen two of the "X" fence posts though. Nice layers and colors. Classic western US scene!
