Nice shot, nice light, Cheryl. Very sharp. I know what you mean about the moss. That'd be hard to clone, but if you wanted to you could possibly work on very careful cloning of jut the very end, that darker part, so it doesn't exit the frame. But it'd take a lot of really up close and careful work.

Nice exposure and detail on the osprey in the larger version. I don't have a problem with the moss as originally posted.

Nice flight shot, and I like the Spanish Moss trailing behind the expectant Mom as well as the title. I would be interesting to see the image cropped slightly different. Maybe more space where the Osprey is heading, and that might correct the moss exiting the frame. Just a thought. Excellent image as posted.
Update: I like to comment before reading other opinions, and I see that you have already posted a new image. I like the repost better.

Cheryl,
Love the repost. Big difference. Nice work getting this super low angle. Seriously, I like the clouds in the sky, the wing position, the intent look in the eye as if to say, "I've got work to do, so leave me alone". Great exposure, and good sharpness. Composition works really well. Happy Shooting Cheryl!

Super exception to the general placement rule! The Osprey is perfectly exposed and in a perfect flight pose. Excellent! I'm with Richard on the moss. Good as is.

Nice light on the Osprey, sharpness and detail look good. Comp works well for me given the trailing moss. I'm fine with your original post.

Looks like a kite to me. That is, the kind we humans fly on a string. I like the 2nd image better, but as noted above, it seems just a tad bit crowded to me. Nice capture, however.

Ah, nesting season! Great catch with nice wing position, BG, and moss.
The original is fine, but I prefer the re-piost. I'd also allow a bit more room in front, which would balance the moss.
Nice work!

Hello Cheryl.
Honestly Cheryl i would not worry about the moss ,it certainly does not spoil the overall effect of this very good image.

This is very nice Cheryl, I like it a lot.
I especially like the comp here, and the LP looks fab.
The moss exiting the frame? I would leave it..
Excellent all around!

Really nice shot, Cheryl! Exposure and colors look really good...and I like the moss a lot, I think I prefer the repost. I also like how you can see a bit of cloud detail in the sky.
