The awesome looking peak at the centre-left is Mt Assiniboine located on the border between British Columbia and Alberta. This is an attempted self portrait taken from atop a nearby dome called nublet. I realize the snowshoes look odd on the hard frozen wind swept top  but they were essential below the tree line and i couldn't undo the straps for they froze on the climb up.

Next time ill remember to get colour coordinated outerwear

Nikon D5000, 16-85 @ 20mm, f10, 1/250s, iso 200.

Bone chilling capture Anand. I like the addition of the tree line off to the right as it shows the height.

Neat shot Anand! I think you did a good job on the overall scene... I like the low light look, but I'd probably brighten the image some...maybe even leave the sky alone and brighten the rest a bit.

The Canadian Rockies must be an even more amazing place in winter. I think this is a grand view Anand but I think next time you should definitely consult your wardrobe coordinator or just wear red! I would lighten the scene a bit as David suggests.

A fine self-portrait! It is a little dark though. You should be able to brighten this a bit without blowing out the highlights.
