Quite Cold

Hi all!

I took this image a couple of weeks ago, after a sprinkling of snow...
I was shooting some ice on the grass, when this scene caught my eye.
This probably won't appeal to some people, because of the limited depth of field, but I was drawn to it because of the negative space above, the abstract feel, and the soft blue/green colors. I took multiple pictures, but this was my favorite.

Nikon D70, 60mm, f/4.5, 1/400, ISO 250, Handheld.
Larger version for better evaluation...

All comments and critiques appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Jaymes

This is a very interesting abstract, I find the "mini" icicles on the branch to be interesting and I like the colors but there is too much negative space for me with such a narrow dof.

I like the abstract feel and the colors. I think I agree with Hali that I'd prefer less negative space. I think I'd like this in a square format (cropped from the top) or even as a 4x5 either vertical or horizontal. That's a purely subjective opinion, of course.

I actually really like this Jaymes... very striking and I think the abstract quality works well with the negative space. Well done.
