F/11, 1/800th, ISO 500, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 2x ext and natural light.

A great comp. Love the two-pronged perch and the BG. Bird has nice colors and a great pose. Very nice.

Nice image, Howard. I like the split leg pose and the downward turn of the head. Nice simple perch and smooth background.

Nice pose, and I like how the branches frame the bird.
The dark BG works very well here to set thr bird off.

Great capture. Looks like he's doing the splits. Composition is perfect for me. That background really compliments the colors of the bird. Very intent look. :toast:

Wonderful pose and perch and I really like how the dark background brings out the goldfinch, very nice Howard, these birds do not sit still for very long, way to go.
