Golden Afternoon
by Bill Chambers
Finally got out of the house and shot a little today, but it was pretty much a wash out, so I had to dig back into some older stuff to post. This was shot at The Gulf Islands National Seashore, on Pensacola Beach a while back. I was attracted to the wonderful golden light close to sunset that highlighted the ripples and caused the sea oats to really glow.
LARGER version available too.

So great to see an image from you and the gulf coast! Beautiful late light on the white sands is your hallmark and this one is just wonderful.
I'm wondering though if both the small and larger versions aren't slightly on the over-sharpened site. Not by much though and it really makes it tough with the delicate stalks of the sea grass and fine grains of the white sands. But never the less, the light and colors make this special.

I really like how the clouds mimic the sand,
Very well seen and a great capture and processing job,
I wish I was there
