I entered a photo in a contest and when I was searching for the image I came along this one which is similar to one I posted a couple years back.

Nikon D300s 300 f4 HH
f/8
1/1250s
ISO 640
-.33 EC

Cropped from Horizontal to Vertical

I like that you chose to go vertical with this. Great shot!

I have one of these guys in my digital stack of unposted photos as well.

Hi Luke, I really like the vertical comp including the top of the plant. In the large version, the detail you captured in its "chain maille" scales realy shines.

Where'd you find this little green critter?

This vertical comp really works. A very interesting position of the eye. :wavey:

Nice comp here, at first I was not sure about cutting off the tail since it looked like it was wrapping around but then after looking at the large one for a bit I thought it was well balanced with where the eye is. Great detail in the scales too.

I agree with other comments about the decision to crop this vertical. It works very well. Nice pose with excellent eye contact, and a very complementary background. I like it.

This vertical comp works very well Luke. I like the way the "green" anole is gripping the "green" plant stem and the look in its eye :) He must know something I don't
Techs look great, well done :wavey:
