The first sunrise of 2012 in Ceahlau National Park. We had a great time celebrating the new year high up and the conditions were on our side. Hope you like it.

Beautiful! The foreground, the sunstar, the contrast between cold and warm colors all work very well.
I am wondering what will happen if you brighten the photo a little bit.

Nice! Great mix of elements, love those little trees especially. The fog in back is just the icing on the cake. The vignette feels a bit too dark to me, otherwise looks great!

The warm glow on those iced bushes is sooo nice. Also like those valley clouds to give some depth. Processing looks great. Grad NDs or a blend? Very natural look to it.

Woah...crazy light. Might experiment with cropping pano so just the flare comes down and not so much direct sun. Think it becomes more powerful. Great capture

Hi Dorin,
Award winning material here my friend. I have to rank this at the very top of the list of shots I've seen from you and for that matter just about any shot I've seen in the last year. Incredible work. The light is amazing as is the comp and everything is so fresh and delicate. Your processing is spot on. One small suggestion is to clone out the two small black twigs in the LLC of the image.
Congrats,
Michael

Awesome! That light is exquisite. I think if you cropped some off the left and bottom -- and maybe even a wee bit off the top -- this already strong image would be even stronger.

Thank you so much for the feedback, guys.
Yiming, Stan I intented a slightly darker presentation with a stronger vignetting. On my website, which has a dark background, the impression is totally different.
Harry, this is a blend of two exposures.
Aaron, yes it looks different with the sky cut off, but I'm losing the feeling of space which basically makes the image in most cases when shooting wide.
Michael, thanks for pointing that out.
Kory, I'll give it a try with the crop.

The red sun backlighting the snow covered plants in the foreground is outstanding. The sunburst and the peaks fading into the distance really makes this special.

This is a wonderful image Dorin. I must say that I went to your website after your last post and I was particularly imprest.
Your attitude to photography is one of the best that I have every read. Very refreshing! Now back to your image... I found the little magenta streak or flare? in the middle left a bit distracting and would recommend that you remove it. cheers
