I love the overall comp Eirini. Very nice perch and BG. A great looking species. The bird looks sharp with good detail, but I would have to see a larger version to assess those parameters fully.

Nice comp and bg too. i agree about larger version, just shows it all a little better.If this were mine I might be tempted to remove some of the thorn that looks like it is stabbing the bird.

a very attractive composition.I like the thorny details of his perch.Details look pretty good on my monitor.The one thorn below his tummy is slightly distracting.

I just saw this bird for the first time this weekend. He is gorgeous and you have represented him well with the cactus perch. I would like just a bit more room to the left of the bird

Gorgeous image of this sparrow Eirini. Good detail and I like perch and the subtle background. I'm inclined to think a tad more room on the left - if you have it, might offer a more balance comp. But -this works real well as posted.

It looks very nice, and the muted lighting works quite well here. I haven't had a huge number of chances to photograph these guys, but when I have, I've struggled with exposure in the strong Arizona light. This really worked out well.
