A different take on Pristine. I liked how the 16:9 ratio emphasizes the center parts but I also like the greater color in the petals in the full frame. Any preferences? All comments welcome. >=))>

I'm going with the 16:9 for two reasons, the emphasis on the center of the orchid and the visual 'stack' of petals that draw my eye up through the fame. The subtle colors in the petals are beautifully hinted at even in this version but seem more luminous and alluring than the ff. this is version has a mesmerizing beauty I really like.

Bill, my preference is for the first posted image. It seems to me that the sense and direction of the composition is more vertical and the point of reference is nearer to the observer.
Cheers.

My vote goes to the first image. I like the top layers created by the petals, which are more interesting and better emphasised in the 1st version. :wavey:

I really like the large version.....got a bigger one?
The 16:9 format really does justice to this orchid.

Bill:
The 16:9 tends to hold the viewer's interest for longer. The color and softness is fabulous. I like how one can see both 'whiskers' nicely in this image compared to Pristine. :toast:

Bill, another vote from my side to the 16:9 (original) version. That version does not let my eyes wander much and pins it down to the fantastic colors and details at the center - I also like how the curved petals at the top frame the center so beautifully. Your Orchid series has been a pleasure to watch. :toast:

Beautiful series Bill. I would vote for the tighter crop also.
