Came across this Peregrine Falcon while driving on a country road in southern New South Wales. I managed to get a few frames as she flew around me. I suspect I had disturbed her dining on a Galah.

Canon 7D, EF500 f/4,hand held. ISO 400, f/6.3, 1/1250, ec +1, Cropped for composition from left and top.

I like the flight position Simon and the look the bird is giving you. I know how tough it is to get close to this species.

Always a challenging subject but you got good light under one wing and on the face so I think this works well. I also like the open beak.

These are tough shots, but you managed to capture this elusive falcon nicely.

For me, the open bill makes the shot. Very nice, Simon.
