This was taken at Table Rock State Park in South Carolina over new years. I just recieved a new lense and went for a hike to test it out. This image was taken late in the day with little light left.

Canon 7D, Canon 10-22mm, 4sec, f/11, ISO 500.

Thanks for looking and all C&C welcomed.

John

John, What a beautiful place! That waterfall is wonderful. A perfect place to try out your new lens! Hope you have a wonderful new year making pictures with it!

A very pleasing photograph IMHO! I like the overall tone of this image, almost a muted color scene and the slow water works well with the colors. Thanks for sharing.

Nice lead in along the fg rock, and the smooth water provides a good sense of motion.

Guess that new lens worked just fine. This is gorgeous. Sharp front to back with great depth and wonderful color. the silky water is the frosting on the cake

The colors in the foreground make this a dominant element. Could maybe see burning the lighter areas on the right, center edge of the frame.

I like this quite well John. I personally think you could tone down the reds a bit, but I know that's your style. I love looking at rhododendron in the winter and this captures my imagination.

What a peaceful and tranquil scene. Makes me wish I was there right now. I like Tony's suggestion about the light areas.

Great job, John. The low perspective really makes this one for me!

I like Tony's suggestion to tone down the light areas just a bit. I really like your composition and the look of the waterfall & stream. Lovely colors as well. I also have a 10-22, it's one of my favorite go-to lenses. I think it passed your test with flying colors.

This is beautiful John! Looks like that lens is paying off well. This has nice flow, and the subtle colors are very relaxing.
