Pear Slices

This image is another in my series of "scanner art" ... fresh pear slices were placed on the glass bed of my scanner and scanned into a .tiff file. To add this painterly look, I processed the image in Alien Skin Snap Art using the Impasto setting.

Thoughts and comments are always appreciated.

Interesting image. I really like the blocked up colors, but am less sure about the static arrangement although, sadly, I can't offer any suggestions, especially since you're using a scanner. Nice job.

Thanks to everyone for taking a look and your comments. I find that some subjects require this painterly look and other subjects are perfect just the way the scanner sees them. It's a challenge to find the right balance of colors, shapes and composition, but then that's true even when you use a camera. I'll be doing more work with the scanner and to test my artistic capabilities. Thanks again everyone. I so much appreciate your comments and your time.
