Taken using JPG format but now use RAW Exclusively.

Early morning before the wind, was able to capture the Kingfisher on a perch overlooking a pond. The Spider web was moving in the breeze slightly. Very dark morning before sunrise.

Fuji S5 Pro / JPG/ 1/100 / F5 / ISO 200 / Wimberley Head on Manfrotto Tripod/ Nikon Lens 200-400 VR F4 / full frame

The Kingfisher looks excellent, Bill, though I agree with Verdon that it seems a bit oversaturated. There's some banding in the green bg that looks like a processing or compression artifact.

Nice catch.

Hello Verdon

Looks to me like this has the potential to be an interesting image but I think it's way over processed.

I really like the composition of this Bill! I think out in the field, your vision of this shot was good and really came together. However, in the processing, I agree it didn't go as well. In addition to the saturation, the image has a lot of noise. I assume that might be because of the over-processing though since your ISO was 200. I certainly think this can be fixed (even in JPG).

Hello Kurt

Thanks for the feedback. This was taken a couple years ago when I was using jpg (Using RAW now). The image was quite underexposed and maybe this adjustment to bring it up has caused the overprocessing and noise. I'll do it again from scratch and be extremley aware of the adjustments ona-at-a-time.

Thanks Very much appreciate the feedback

It a really nice comp Bill, I like it. The spider web lines add good interest too.
Has some PP issues, but enough said.
