Morning Transitions

This is one from my recent Kauai trip taken on my first sunrise going out and about. A nice element about the south shore you get views of sunrises and sunsets which from my experience is easier to get skies transitioning from golden warm to cool blue like this one.

Hi Aaron. This is at Poipu Beach right in front of the park. Considering this was my 5th visit in about 8 years to the area this was actually my first time shooting in that exact spot. And thanks for the kind words.

Those colors are beautiful. I like how the breaking wave is only partially breaking - adding some more of that great blue to the photograph.

I love the colors and shutter speed here. You are right about the nice warm to cool shift in the sky. That really adds to the shot. Great comp as well.

Very nice, Adrian! I love the colors in this. That sky is beautiful and I love the looks of the water, both over the rocks and farther back. The wave looks great and the feeling of motion is captured really well. Very nice work! I enjoy looking at this!

This is really beautiful Adrian. The combination of light and color, the overall brightness, and the way the water seems to have crawled up onto the rocks make it feel almost magical.

Real nice work. The wave action is perfect all around and the color in the sky, while relatively subtle, is still quite pleasing in large part because of the warm to cool transition that you note in your comment. Must be nice to get something like this on day one . . .
