Godwit & Sand Patterns

Repost from last year, like the Willet, these birds move rather hastily between tidal pools. Caught this one with some interesting sand patterns. Original was not well framed, so I cropped to about 65% from right.

I like this a lot. Nice detail in the larger version and the sand patterns make a big positive addition, enhanced by their shadows.

The low angled light does so much for this image. Not only the great patterns in the sand, but the subtle tones in the Godwit's bill and plumage. The walking pose is nice too.
