This is a sunrise image taken at Waterton Lakes NP. It looks much better in the LARGE version.

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Carol,

This is a very nice "reflectionscape." The symmetry is excellent as is the processing, exposure and natural colors. I might usually comment on the light balance between the sky and the reflection and here it's pretty even. I think it works well here. The only suggestion I have really would be to try and enhance the light striking the mountain top. It's a great moment and I think you could try and bring that out even more. Nice job all around.

Beautiful scene. I agree with Lon to try to enhance the light striking the mountain peak. Beautiful reflections.

Beautiful reflection! I would also concur with Lon's suggestion. That would give the image a little more pop.

Thanks Lon, Bill and Harley for your comments. I always hesitate to increase saturation in an image for fear of creating one of those nuclear sunrises we all see too often. But after all of your recommendations, I did increase the saturation on the peaks somewhat (not too much) and am very pleased with the result. Thanks!

Nice shot and the near 50/50 composition works pretty well here. I find that sometimes on images that appear slightly "muted" and increase in vibrancy works better than increasing saturation. Definitely a keeper though.

Carol,

I was at this very spot in September. The fellow in the boat house just returned from paddeling around the lake. He saw a moose along the shoreline.

I like the various colors captured and the balance is excellent. I agree with Lon's remarks.
