Ginko Bilboa

Here is the second in my Neighborhood Leaves series. The Ginko Bilboa is a tree that is still with us that was alive and existed in prehistoric times among the dinosaurs. It is an amazingly vivid tree especially in its autumn attire.

Enjoy.

Youssef:
Like the bright yellow against the black and the alternating arrangement.

Apart from a pretty tree, the ginkgo plant has been used for medicinal purposes in Chinese medicine for thousand of years. It is a top selling herbal supplement in France where it is purported to improve circulation and memory. Be careful though, it is toxic in large serving.

These look beautiful on the black bg, Youssef - I especially like the leaf to the R, with its varied tones and its very clear texture. I do find your text distracting, though - might you reduce that ?
