My new favorite place

This mountain is in an fairly remote area of the Canadian Rockies that's I've only just begun to explore. There is so much potential for photography in this area and I can't wait to go back.

Awesome shot! I love the light and color in this scene. I'd kind of like to see a bit more on the LHS, but that's minor.

Yes, I like the colors too. However, what I really like are the lines in the photo especially the curved rock formation. Well done.

I'll second what Tom said! The flow is clear---everything nicely leads you to the peak on top. In some ways I do want to see more of the peak, but the way it is, it gives a feeling of 'suspense'. Almost as if the story hasn't finished. I like it that way...

Very cool spot indeed. Amazing how much the glacier has vanished. :/ Great first shot from there :)

Whoa, this might be one of my favorites from you.
Nice elements in this pretty photo. I would want to go back, too.
The sky seems a bit strong on this random laptop.

wow--that is some sweet mountain scenery, Tom. I really hope to make it back to the Canadian Rockies, used to go all the time when i lived in Seattle, and it was filled with my favorite places. Sky looks a bit heavy, might use selective color there to remove some of the black. :wavey:

Wow, the light in this is just something. Beautiful tones throughout. Lots of visual interest, too, with all the different shades of color. I do wish the peak was more centered in the composition, though.

And you were really lucky getting these beautiful cirrus clouds on top!
Perfect!

Tremendous landscape well captured and presented. The colors and textures here are a real compliment to the comp.

A wondeful landscape, Tom. I like the colors and swirling lines.
Despte being a little oversaturated perhaps, the sky is also a plus. Thanks for sharing, and I'm looking for-
ward to more of your postings from this area.

Great shot Tom. I love the sweep and curve from the dry stream bed up through the folded rock in the midground. That adds a lot to the comp for me!

W-O-W. This one heck of a killer shot. Not sure what it is. The comp. as such is not necessarly "unique", but so flawlessly exectuted. Everything "flows" here. I think it is that sky. And that light. I am deeply impressed. :toast:
