wonderful colours and 50/50 split works for me, it does appear a little soft to my eyes. (but it may be my eyes!)

Pretty straight-forward, but i like this, the mix of colors and great light here save it from being just another 50/50 autumn reflection (im jaded, seen millions of them, shot thousands  ) Softness looks ok to me (Orton or equivalent??) but you might burn down the midtones in the bright sections to try to squeeze some more detail there. Pretty!

Is this Gosau Lake again? I like the soft processing you chose and the colors are powerful and vivid. My only nit would be the larch on the right which seems so be affected a bit too much by the vignetting and looks a bit flat next the the closeby contrasty ones.

Very cool. Looks sort of like a painting, to me. The colors are fantastic, also. Did you use the Orton Effect?

I like the light and those fall colors. The 50/50 comp works for me here. you might burn down the highlights and as Stan said the midtones in the bright areas. This looks a bit soft to me...looks like Orton.

Love those colors Helmut, those rusty reds and bright yellows go especially well together! That soft light really adds to this, and the slight Orton effect it looks like you used adds a wonderful mood.

I agree with Stan's suggestion about toning those brights down just a bit, but that's really minor. Not your average 50/50 shot! :toast:

Not sure how you achieved this effect, but it's perfect for this scene. There's an ambient glow that I really like.

Helmut,

I think this is a beautiful autumn rendition. I'm really enjoying the effects/processing here with the wonderful color and glow. It does look like some variation of Orton or a glow effect - which is perfectly fine, but just relating to the Landscape vs. Photo Art thing... it could easily fit in Photo Art. But regardless, I think you've captured and crafted a beautiful autumn reflection.

Really like the "glow" that you created in this image, it fits so well for such a calm, peaceful scene. The mood is really inviting. This works well for me, great capture.
