Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm specifically wondering whether my processing of the lily pad to have presence of its own in relationship to the flower works.

Thank you!

Dang, that's fantastic Barbara. The lily pad is life itself and the (I guess) bud is the most unusual water lily. I guess it is just budding is that right? Colors are splendid and all around this is great. :jump:

I really like this Barbara. The edge of the leaf in the ULC balances nicely with the bud peaking through the water. Well done.

Quite charming, Barbara, and very different than anything you have tried to date. I like the negative space between the leaf and the bud.

Something you might consider would be to open the shadows of the negative space, and I'm only guessing. The idea may or may not work.

Carol

Barbara: I like this one a lot. The comp is just right and I like what you've done with the pad and flower. On my laptop I can see some vestiges of the underwater stems and think I would take them all the way to black. Superior image. >=))>

Beautifully done. The pad on the top really adds a lot of depth to the image.

BTW, I see a quantum leap in your images since your workshop. :jump:

Very imaginative composition, Barbara, which works superbly as far as I'm concerned. Great sharpness and wonderful, deep tones, all lit to perfection. Love it !

Wow! This is fantastic. Very artistic, the negative space works great and the processing is dead on.
Not long ago you mentioned you were experiencing a lack of inspiration......well I'd say you're back in excellent form. Nice work. :toast:

It rains on the waterlily from the pad. This is my impression, Barbara. So, for me, the composition realizes e creative couple that works well together.
Cheers.

A very striking image: well seen and executed. A great example that it is the photographer's eye and not the gear that matters.
