Here's a frame from Bosque Del Apache. I've been down for the weekend. This is one of the last frames of the day from yesterday. The pink in the sky was really vivid. I didn't try to desaturate, just wanted to leave it as it was.

Techs:

Canon 50D, 500mm f/4 with 1.4x TC
1/125 @ f/5.6, ISO 640
NR applied to the sky.

Full Frame.

Larger version included.

Love the colors! Seems like a fitting shot for the end of the day. Would love to get there someday! Sharon

Keith, must have been some impressive color to actually witness. I like the almost complete separation you got from the cranes and the horizon below adds to the image IMO. Might be nice if the top left bird were a bit sharper but I think this works well as is.

Amazing sky and complementary threesome. A pano eliminating the bottom black horizon would also work IMHO. Great shot! :toast:

The cranes in silhouette against this wonderful late sunset sky look fantastic Keith.
The image evokes an emotional response IMO, and will speak to the viewer on many levels.
I can see it on my wall
