A young Dall Sheep stands out amidst spectacular fall scenery on the north side of the alaska range. The big guys with the big curls had little clue on how to pose, thankfully this youngster came to the rescue.
Close to full frame, lost a few pixels to rotation. Overexposed the brightly lit mountain top and had to darken it in post processing.

This one is chock full of exquisite detail, super soft lighting, great colours and a lovely composition.
@ Bill, Wish i had an epic story to tell. It was the first evening of a short 3 day trip during the long weekend in the first week of september. This was near the polychrome pass area just above a popular lookout. There is usually a herd of rams that hang around here. On finding a few grazing and lounging in this area, I moved quickly and quietly to a position to include as much of the landscape. They gave me a few poses before dispersing. It was getting late and I had overnight camping permits for a different area and had to leave.
@lon, I did think about a slight crop, but like the yellows in the bottom left too much
Thank you all once again
