After several days without viewing the leopard, we were very lucky to come close to this one. We could observe him for a couple of minutes before he took off.
Nikon D3X 400 mm 1/100 f5 post processing with Aperture.
All comments more than welcome

Beautiful cat in good condition too. The foreground stray intervening twigs/blades of grass are a bit unfortunate, but you can still see the entire body. Nicely done under the constraints of tricky light and narrow viewing opportunity. :toast:

Hey Luc,

My comments on this shot are virtually the same as Gary's, so..."what he said" (thanks Gary).

I noticed your statement:

"All comments more than welcome".

I know last week Vincent pointed out that it would be great to get more comments from you so I won't repeat what he said so well. But a little speculation on my part: if you ARE looking for more comments and feedback on your images (and who isn't?), I suspect that if members start seeing you commenting more on the images of others then the number of comments on YOUR images will likely start climbing (as I write this I see "18 Posts, 5 Comments" above, which is a long ways off the 5 comments for every image post recommended in the NPN posting guidelines). Commenting on the images of others is NOT mandatory on NPN, but I do think it's possible you're seeing the consequences of not commenting on others images...just an observation...

Cheers...

Brad

You were indeed lucky to see this elusive animal. The grass in the FG shows that the leopard was indeed hiding which is what they are very good at. Beautiful shot.
