The Maples were just insane in Zion this year--all sorts of colors!
The yellows stood out from the reds, so thats what attracted me to this scene from the east side of Zion last week.

Hey, nice to see you over in Flora again, Stan! Lovely handling of the light and color and the patterns throughout are very nice to explore. What are the red "demon eyes" showing through the middle? It's not that they shouldn't be there, they just add an element of mystery to this. Well done!

Stan: I am hoping to hit Zion next fall and this makes me want to go even more. I like this very much as is. My only suggestion would be to crop some of the RLC or clone in some leaves to fill that space. Well seen and captured. >=))>

Frame filling wonderful Stan. Like Bill suggested, I might clone or crop, but beautiful none-the-less.

I've come back to this a few times because I like it, but I felt something was off...It turns out that I like this rotated 90 CW. In my mind the transition from dark at the bottom to light and the blue at the "top" makes more sense. These maples are truly stunning and this is a beautiful comp!
After reading Morris' response, I now notice and cannot look away from those demon eyes. I think with a tight crop, you have a halloween image here!

Stan:
Just beautiful autumnal image. Very nicely done. I find the blue (?sky) in the RUC a little distracting and wondering about changing them to black.

Nice fall canvas. A little twiggy at the LLC but pretty shot overall.
