Helping Hand!

While doing a family photo shoot, I took this photo of a father and son by a river bank two weeks ago. The original was full a full body shot. While looking at the photo I cropped in close to pull this moment from the rest of the scene. Moments like these are there one moment and gone, lost forever....unless we capture it!

I was torn between posting the color or black & white version, I liked them both.

Canon 7D, ef70-200 L IS II @ 105mm, 1/160 sec, f2.8, iso 125, handheld, no flash.

C&C Welcome

This is what I call a "telling" detail, Dave, and I salute your taste in narrowing the broad view down to it's most essential element. :toast:

We don't really need to see what else is going on around the pair to finish the story. In fact, this narrow focus lets viewers fill in their own perception of the larger scene, making it that much more powerful.

Great interest, could be the boys first trip down to the river..
Brings back memories of when my boys were little, and the special times we shared
Well done David :toast:
