Matterhorn in October

In october I was two weeks on the road through switzerland. Now I have a lot of pictures waiting to be processed. This one is from my trip to the Matterhorn region this october.During my two 2 days photographing at Grindjisee and Stellisee I had the pleasure to meet fellow NPN photographers Andreas Resch,Dietrich Gloger and Giovanni Rusello.

I tried a little bit a different comp from this well known place with fall colors at Grindjisee with the Matterhorn in the background.

Bill, What a beautiful place! You really captured it with that blue sky, snow on the mountains and then that beautiful gold/yellow on the larch (I guess) trees. Those combinations look so nice together! Nice you got to meet up with some fellow NPN photographers too.

Gorgeous! This is quite a different take than the Matterhorn shots I am remembering, and I like it.

This is really wonderful, Bill and it makes me think back to the lovely day we had there. I always like when I meet other photographers out there especially when you know them from the internet and haven't met them before. It was a pleasure.

Hi Bill, was great to meet you and to exchange a few words! :toast:

I really like your composition here. It is quite courageous to step away from the lake and to "not" make the reflection shot! And it works despite the harsh light. Good work!

A dramatic peak with snow on it, wonderful fall color, nice clouds and light. This one pretty much has it all. Well done!

Nice to see more pictures from Switzerland! This year I couldn't visit this region, otherwise maybe we would have meet also.
Very nice fall colors, works well with the daylight. It was a good idea to try a new viewpoint. Well done!

An impressive shot for me, Bill. I especially appreciate the foreground elements that lead me nicely into the scene. Colors are striking for me.

This is a really great shot Bill, the colour and light is gorgeous. I really like your composition. Plenty of wonderful detail too. When opening the larger version it makes me want to walk over that little hill on the left and explore further.

Postcard perfect scene, Bill. The different elements layer here very nicely.

Beautiful! If you would not object to a non-standard crop, I'd suggest about a 20% crop from the top, which would increase the visual impact of the incredible landscape, but still leave enough of the appealing sky and clouds.

I like your composition, Bill. The bluebird sky compliments the fall color well.
