Inverpolly, Scotland looking out towards the Summer Isles on a day filled with crazy weather but fantastic light. I am guessing the wind speed was probably 40 - 60 mph at some point with horizontal rain clearly visible moving across the mountains.

Canon 5DM2
Canon 24-70mm at 65mm
ISO400 1/40sec f/9
White balance temp 4140
Hand held

I guess you can get away with hand holding a shot like this, with all that rain it probably wouldn't affect sharpness! Nice moody shot, Eva--i like it. I think id crop just a bit off the top so the area is roughly equal to the shoreline. :wavey:

You really captured the mood here, Eva. Those are hard conditions to shoot in and you captured the feel of it very well. I think a little crop of the sky as Stan mentioned would work good here too.

Reminds me of a winter day here in Vancouver  Love the mood that you have captured Eva.

Good call on the WB, Eva. It really helps express the mood here. I won't disagree with those who want to crop the top, but I would not take off much -- it's nice to see the source of all that sideways rain.

That is some very cool light Eva, and I mean that in more ways than one. Love the feeling this evokes.

Very nice Eva! I also vote for the slight crop, and applaud the WB.

Love the blues and the layers, Eva, and one can definitely get a feel for the high winds you experienced, especially in the larger image. Really like that distant band of highlighted water. You must have really had to brace yourself under these conditions.
