South Texas. March, 2011

D3 ISO 400. 300/2.8 with 2x tc. f7.1 1/1000s. Gitzo tripod with Wimberly head. Natural light. There is a bit of strobing of the background on the post that I cannot see on my monitor. I don't understand that, but someone probably will.

Martin Refuge-private ranch with water source.

Clear light with nie separation from the background and a classic warbler pose.

Very nice detail, as always on your posts. Nice position for the warbler. Good composition.

Well done.

Perfect pose and good job getting that yellow patch for identification in fall plumage. "strobing" is a word that I have never heard used in reference to the lighter patches in the background caused by the dappled light streaming through the branches and leaves onto the mixture of light and dark tree trunks (some near and some far) so typical of the Martin Refuge.

I like the pose of the bird on this nice perch, I might have given it a little bit more room because it's a small bird and it seems larger than life to me here but that's personal preference. Very nice Angela :toast:

Angela, the BG compliments the Warbler perfectly. I don't see a thing wrong with the BG. The larger post is tack sharp. Very well done.
