Harriman stream WC505

This stream runs through and under the apartment complex where I live. Normally it's not much to look at, but yesterday after a super-torrential rain (the most terrifying commute home from work I've ever experienced) it looked like this. I'd like to know if the thin branches on the left are too distracting; I got rid of a smaller one on the right using CS5 Content Awareness Tool, but this seemed too complicated. At least for my abilities.

Nancy, the branches on the left are a bit of a distraction. I think you could crop those off and still have a good image.

I'd consider cropping the left side of the image to remove most of the branches and then cloning the bits that remain. I like the simplicity of the photo, but I think that those branches are a real distraction. Otherwise this is a lovely shot . The beautiful leaves are a nice touch.

I generally try not to do major clones, but in this case I agree about making those branches disappear. I especially like the water swirling around the rocks in the foreground and the few leaves that haven't been washed away. You picture nicely tells a story about heavy fall rains.
