Shot 8/6/11, at Winchester Lake, Idaho. Shot in Raw. Mid to Late morning sun. Nothing was landing for long, so this was hand held.
Processed in elements 8. Cropped to about 80% of FF. Does the composition work? Tried to balance with cropping. Any feedback is really apperciated and a big help.

Nikon 105mm macro lens
F9

ISO 320

Beautiful species, well depicted- Composition is very fine on this one, and F9 is probably the best choice with that situation (with a wider aperture you could get a smoother BG, but probably loosing the focus on head or on the end of body)- Great job, Fabio

Beautiful dragonfly. I think the blurriness of the background is perfect. Nice color combination.

That's some nice detail, Ron. If this were mine I would darken or clone out the bright area in the lower left. :wavey:

Ron:
Works for me. Nice looking DF with good DOF and sharpness. The bg is pleasing and I second Sam's suggestion of darkening the LLC.
