An excellent study in contrast, Todd - great darkish setting for that bright yellow maple leaf. The circles in the tree stump/bark with the lichen infestation looks cool too.
There is something in the top right corner that is drawing my eye, if you so wish, its easily removed.

Love the comp Todd but I might sharpen the leaf a bit. Great textures and really good photographic vision to see this. Very fine work.

I like the swirl to the wood Todd. I could use a tad more sharpness.

Nice comp on this, Todd. The curves of the wood make a nice setting for this leaf. Agree with Ram about removing the debris in the upper right corner.

I really like the composition of this image. The only thing is I wish the leaf were sharper. Fine job.

Todd: The repost is an improvement but the softness in the leaf still puzzles me a bit. This looks like a pretty flat focal plane and other areas look acceptably sharp. I really like the comp and color contrast especially. A fine find and a solid capture. >=))>

Hi Todd I like the whirling lines presenting a vortex like effect, the yellow leaf makes a perfect contrast against the lovely color tones of the stump. there is still not enough crop on the top
