Lone Tree - Yellowstone

This tree hangs on to a cliff just up from Yellowstone Falls - I saw it from Artist Point as I was shooting the falls & couldn't resist. I would imagine the tree was moving a bit from the breeze created by the falls, so it's not as sharp as I would like. The haze in the top left is the spray from the falls. Please view larger for more detail.

Nice find in an iconic location! The subtle colors in the rocks and the mist separating the foreground from the background create a dynamic image with the tree pulling it all together. I would like to see the tree a bit brighter, but that's my vision, not yours.

This has nice abstract qualities Wick due to the different texture of the rock. Yes, nice find.

Wick, there is a lot of tension for me in your composition that really keeps my attention. Very interesting lighting to my eye, especially in the background.

pretty amazing textures and colors in those rocks. the mist helps balance it out. Works fine either way, but due to the title, you could probably crop out the tree in the lower fg. Lovely light. Nice find
