An Attitude Bird

The Titmouse is my favorite for it's attitude. Just a splendid little bird with confidence well beyond it's small size. I know this is cluttered with branches, noisey and maybe some other negatives and it was from a time BNPN when I never went above ISO200 and never used a tripod.

I'd love to hear the weak points anyhow as I may not have noticed them all.

A tricky shot for sure with all of those twigs - but you managed to get a good look at the eye and even get some catchlight. I think there are some image quality issues (from cropping most likely) but the raised crest is nice.

These little birds a tricky to get out from in back of the brush. The brush is the only drawback or plus depending on how you wish to think about it.

Real cute subject Charlie! Working on the assumption that this is cropped a fair bit, if I had a similar shot of a bird that I liked but felt it was a little too soft (and not easy to sharpen in PP), I think I'd probably make the subject much smaller in the frame (by not cropping for a close-up) and that way making the image more of a picture including habitat.

I like Ashleys suggestion. I think image quality will improve greatly with a smaller crop.

I love these little guys and they are so hyperactive it is difficult to photograph them. For me, and it is only my personal preference, I find the branches too distracting. It was nice to get the face in the open.

Thanks all for critiques. They all make sense and will effect me in photos forward, I'm sure.

I do like the way he is all puffed up here. Goes with the bare branches. More room on the right will get him out of the center and give him a space to look into.
