Nicely controlled depth of field, John. Not my favcourite subject, but well-handled and presented.

A fine macro shot JR, the markings on these superb spiders are very nice; when I was a kid we used to call them "St Peter's cross spiders"

This is a shot I have been after for quite some time, but I can never seem to find one with a clean / uncluttered BG like this.

An excellent 'Flatty' study of a spider, John.  You are so right about subject discrimination.

Hello John.

Very nicely done great detail and colour and just an excellent capture.

If this was mine so you will have to forgive me I love the prey infront of the spider, but find the small white patch behind the spider distracting and would remove it.

Nice work.

Thanks all for taking the time to comment.
Guy- I won't bother to repost it but now you mention it I agree the OOF spot does distract.
