Red Deer

Here is the first of the Deer shots. I was at Richmond Park on Sunday morning and because of the clear skies overnight and in the morning, there was a thick layer of mist and the light was stunning. I positioned myself so that the sun would rise in front of me and so that the light would shine through the mist.

Techs:
Nikon D300s
Nikon 200-400
Handheld
F5.6
1/1600s
ISO 640

A very nice image Oscar - it was what you wanted and you got it in the bag.

For me, I'd have pushed the blacks a bit more to give the sillhoette more punch and definition and perhaps left more canvas above with less FG. Not sure if you have the space though as you don't mention if it's FF or not.

Good work Oscar :toast: :toast:

You positioned yourself very well, Oscar. A great first result, and I look forward to seeing others in the series.

Gorgeous lighting and early morning mist make a beautiful scene, and you have certainly made the most of them. Excellent work Oscar.
