Beautiful abstract, Ram. I really like how the warm yellow is blended with the delicate pink. Great comp. :toast:

Perfection of its type. The colors and the POF are just right.

Do you use live view, Ram? I'm just wondering because I don't have it on my 5d and there is no way I can "see" something like this with my tiny viewfinder. Your eye for comps, line, use of color and light continue to inspire me and amaze. :toast:

Ram:
Dahlia 1 is a very strong image but this one is exceptional and way better. The image is divided into segments with sharp edge of the petals and each segment has different tones and colors. Plenty to hold the viewers interest. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Morris, I use the Optical Viewfinder - I am not certain using live view can help provide minute adjustments needed to make these intimate compositions possible. But its likely Live View might work for some people.

All these photos are made at 1:1 or close at very short working distances. Sometimes one offending petal might touch the front element also. Its not only the composing part that is tricky but also aligning as many elements as possible to fit into the limited depth of field.

This is great Ram. The colors make this look like a flame, and I love the tip of the petal in focus in the right third. Wonderful stuff!

What a beauty Ram! A stylist can find in these two unbelievable colors the inspiration for the spring collection.I love this image that enters the soul of the dahlia. Bravo!
