Height of Summer

Well, it is fall now, but it is transitioning between the two seasons here in Colorado, so I thought I would post the color version of this one. I had posted a b&w conversion in Landscape a little while back. I forgot to save it in my gallery, so now it's gone. :frown:

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris:
Beautiful frame filling image. If I recall correctly, the B&W version was not so pano and has some OOF elements in the fg which is not seen here. This one is just fabulous. :toast:

Morris, I like the repetition. I would like to see more contrast.

Perfect setting for a shot like this, Morris. Foreground blur, middleground focus and background blur again. Does not work always but works splendidly here.

Very nice Morris. Certainly is summery! I like your use of DOF to get the FG and BG in softer focus. Nice work.

This is perfect for my tastes exactly as posted Morris. Love the dof decision and the pano presentation. The mood also appeals to me.

Very fine work.

I thought this looked familiar. Are you double dippin'? Thought I'd seen this color version before too, but maybe not. Anyway, I like this a lot too. Again, the selective focus/dof really works here, and the big dose of color!

Thanks everyone! :wavey:
Chris, no I only posted the b&w in Landscape. I did have both versions on the RMNP regional forum. Maybe you saw it there.

Morris, This field is lovely. Since you have a band of OOF in the front as well as the back, had you considered a curves layer on just the in-focus flowers to make them really pop? Sorry, didn't see the B/W ...

Regards,

Carol
