Brown Hare shelter

This is one from last week the weather was very windy and I was watching the stubble field for hares, with no success. I had been seeing them here for a few days. I scanned around with my binoculars and noticed a gap in the edge of the neighboring wheat field and in the gap was a brown hare sheltering from the elements, it had backed up into the crop to allow the wind and rain to pass over its head. I sat and watched it for some time and it was still there when I left

The hare looks as though it is contemplating the mysteries of Being, with one eye on the photographer.:-) I like it, a lot.

I love hare shots and you certainly always seem to get them! nice depth to this and the detail is cracking on the large, perhaps a little central? personal i guess :toast: :toast:

i like the out of focus framing the hare, with plenty of space to the left of the hare.
I like it just as it is, no nits. lovely colour tones in the yellows and browns
