Just a heron

One evening down by the river near Olifant camp, Kruger, we found little toot but this grey heron in the late evening light just demanded to be taken. So desperate was he for a photo shoot he started flapping his wings at us!

Beautiful light and pose, Neil. The BG and vegetation are just right. The image is cramped in the frame, obliging an almost centered subject. Good as is, but more room with the camera would have made it better.
