Taken this spring in Ohio. This was my first photo oportunity with this species. Not the most flashy Warbler, but still a handsome bird. These was a tricky lighting situation because it was shaded and the bird was pretty fast so I need the speed. I should have increased the f-stop to get more DOF to get the tail. It is was it is I guess.

Canon 1D Mk4
Canon 600mm f/4
ISO 640, 1/250@f/4
AV Mode, +1/3 Eval.

Delightful! Great pose and head-turn.
I like the branch with the sparse leaves, but I'd suggest considering cloning out the left 2 that are cut off.
Are you really in Danville, now?
I'm in Alamo!

Bryan, I know from your website that you are a perfectionist, but the soft tail does not bother me a bit. I like this image because of the colors of the background and the leaves of the perch which compliment the colors of the Warbler. Pretty little bird.

Very nice image Bryan... I like your comp/crop and placement of both the subject and inclusion of the various vegetation.

Excellent overall composition with the branches, background and the head turn showing eye contact, well seen and well done.

Bryan,
The OOF tail doesn't really bother me. Would prefer to have it focus but no big deal. Perfect composition, pose/head turn, and catchlight in the eye. Very nice job Bryan.

Love this comp Bryan. I am so glad the leaves were sparse like they were. Nice head turn. In a perfect world just a bit more depth of field for the tail. With the 1DM4 I would have been tempted to bump the ISO up to 1000 and closed down the aperture for a bit more DOF. Unless this is a very large crop, and I don't think it is, the higher ISO would not have hurt IQ at all. Just a suggestion on a very nice image.

Nice look at this warbler, Bryan. Nice perch and very pleasing background. I do wish for a bit more DOF to get the tail in focus. Very nice image as posted.

Beautiful composition, Bryan and a very nice head turn. I don't mind tails being out of focus most of the time-it's very difficult to get much dof when photographing a small bird if you want ti to be a decent size in the frame.
