I was fortunate enough to get out for about 4 hours on Saturday and went to the San Jacinto wild life preserve where the action was very good. I took over 800 photos in 4 hours and will share some of the sequences here over the next few days as I'm able to process them. There were lots of white tailed kites, American kestrels and numerous female harriers. I set up in a swamp ankle deep in mush with lots of reeds where the harriers were doing fly by's. There was a slight breeze so I set up where they would be coming at me, facing into the sun and the wind. This enabled me to catch hundreds of images where the harriers were hovering with legs down searching for super. They went into the reeds several times only to come out empty handed. Still waiting for that shot.

Hoping to get a male doing this same type of stuff. Anyway, if you don't get bored with me posting some of these shots I'll show several different angles and wing positions. Hopefully I posted these correctly (I've been posting small file sizes again). For some reason my larger file sizes lately have been worse than my smaller files so hear goes nothing. Hopefully you enjoy these next few images and hopefully the larger file is actually worth looking at for a change.
