Whitetail doe grazing just after sunset at our waterhole. The background is a stand of cattails in the marshy run-off area from our pond.

Hey Howard,
I really like the isolation you got against the BG and the bit of grass and pose really adds to the overall appeal. Very nicely done!

Well seen Howard. I like the selective focus on the head and the timing to capture the act of browsing the grass. I might suggest just a bit more selective sharpening on the doe's head. Nice composition.

Very nice capture Howard, for all the reasons already mentioned. Much as I really don't go for square crops, I have to say in this case your choice even appeals to me ;^)

As Gary suggests, some selective sharpening on the Doe would probably help to make the image pop even more.

This is a very appealing image Howard; I like the simplicity. My only suggestion is to sharpen the subject a bit selectively. As is the grass (which is more prone to sharpening looks sharper than the subject which is slightly distracting. This is an easy fix though.

Great catch. I like how she's in the midst of taking a bite and the soft lighting is really sweet.

Nice composition. Like the grass in the mouth. The grass on the left I feel helps balance out the image.

I like the comp on this Howard. It has a sort of intimate feel to it. Really well done. I don't have any additional nits to add. Good work
