Icy Moons

This section of ice reminded me of an area of the Kuiper Belt. Icy Dwarfs suspended in the farthest reaches of our galaxy. I fought the dying light of day but managed to capture a few images before the darkness crept in. The textures and shapes were just too good to pass up here.

I kept the exposure dark and further processed to convey the feeling of space. I also liked how the outer edges resemble that of a starfield. A little different but thats what I like.

Thanks for your time and comments as always.

Incredible! The simplicity is inspiring in this ice shot. I like the vignette, too.

I like it...feels kind of empty to me, but i suppose that's part of the point. How about leaving the bubbles in color and have everything else in B&W

Oh yeah, Kuiper belt. I have one of those . . . but I spell it a little different. :jump:

The 3D quality to this is quite amazing. Really does feel other worldly.

The bubbles do seem to be suspended above the ice. Very cool.

I hope you at least have to go to several different ponds to find all thes amazing ice abstracts!!!!! Your's are among the best, if not the best out there. Now, if Floris likes the vignette, than you better not touch it! But for me, I like it too, just maybe a little less heavy. Nice!

Great vision as always, Anthony. Your associations between the miniature ice environments and the infinite space are so engaging and inspiring. Superb!

Very cosmic Anthony though it could also be sub atomic particle. I like the contrast and originality.

The vignette is a lil' strong for me, but the rest is quite nice.
Is it upside down ?

Thanks everyone.
Stan- I know you were reaching for your super critical oversized sombrero but decided to leave it off, thanks
Tony- Too funny, I always spell it your way by habit
Thanks Morris and Chris
Dorin- I really appreciate your fascination with me in this, much thanks
Matt-- No its straight up. I haven't altered the perspective but approached comp on a 45 compared to a straight down view.
Thanks

I'm always impressed with your vision Anthony, and this image screams your work, knew it was yours before even seeing who posted it. I really like the way you've presented this, and your description of how you envisioned it.

Excellent work! :toast:

Pretty sweet abstract. Love bubbles in ice. Might suggest less vig and go square for that real 'fine art' feel. Nice work

Another fantastic ice abstract. Great title and description as well. I'm getting more out of the image with your added explanation.

Absolutely love this Anthony, the outer edges do look like a star field. Photographs like these do inspire me.
